Street parking is available for $2 per hour for the first 2 hours and $5 per hour thereafter. If you can't find street parking, please park at Secure Parking at the end of Vinegar lane, first on left with "Reserve Parking" on the wall. We only have 1 at the moment so please park at ParkMate in Countdown, then come straight to the salon and give us your registration number. Do not park at ParkMate and shop before you notify us. It must be ParkMate-signed parking. A $3 per-hour fee will be added to the total bill.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a head spa at the same time as someone else?

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate multiple head spa services at once as we currently only have one specialised treatment room. That being said, people often attend the appointments in pairs and experience the spa one at a time. While waiting for each other you're more than welcome to make use of our complimentary hot drinks and WIFI; alternatively Ponsonby Road is a few minutes walk away and packed with retail and eateries.

Who can get a head spa?

Our head spa services are for everyone, regardless of gender, hair type or needs. Head spas have a huge amount of benefits and can assist issues such as dandruff, hair loss, stress, tension, disrupted sleep and circulation.

Is there a minimum age for a head spa?

We don't usually recommend clients under the age of 14 booking in for a head spa as these services do require laying still and relaxing for 1-2 hours; although mature young people who can handle this are more than welcome.

Can I bring my child?

We don't recommend children attending head spa appointments. The spa services are in a small room, are a minimum of an hour in length and any interruptions where you may need to tend to your child will hinder the experience and relaxation. Please note that if the session is interrupted by your little one, the appointment will not be extended to make up time and the full price will still be charged.

Is the salon wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Our front door has a ramp over a small curb and the salon space is wide and open; allowing wheelchair users to pivot as needed. Our bathroom is also wheelchair accessible and equipped with a support bar.

However, please note that our main salon basins are fixed to the floor; if you're unable to transfer from your wheelchair to another chair please let us know in advance and we can ensure a portable basin can be provided.

Our head spa basin chair is also fixed to the floor. This unfortunately does require chair transfer as a portable basin cannot be used.

I wear a hijab, can you accommodate me?

Our private head spa room is separate from the main salon and currently only serviced by female head spa therapists. If we know in advance, we can sometimes accommodate other services such as hair cuts in this private room with extra room hire fee $50 per hour.

Why doesn't your price list have separate mens and womens options?

We're proudly a genderless salon, meaning you pay for the skill level required and time taken to do your haircut rather than paying by your gender. This choice was made to tackle rampant pink tax in the beauty industry and create an inclusive environment for our gender non-conforming clientele.

Why are your colour services by time?

This helps minimize confusion around hair dresser jargon and streamlines our pricing to remain fair. On our online booking system and website price list you'll see a brief description of what colour services come under which time frame and we're always here if you have any questions.

I have allergies and/or sensitive skin. Can I still enjoy your services?

In most cases, absolutely! Please be very clear in communicating this to your stylist and include allergy information in any consultation forms you may fill with us. We use ammonia free Original Mineral colour and all of our products in both professional and retail ranges are selected to be as allergen friendly as possible; avoiding sulfates and utilizing powerful, natural ingredients.

In cases of extreme/anaphylaxis allergies please contact us prior to booking your appointment to discuss safety measures; while we can keep specific ingredients away from you during your services, hair products containing elements such as nuts and gluten are used in the salon and can cause airborne contamination.

We recommend that you have a look online for several inspiration photos to bring to your consultation.

Do you have parking?

We have one car park in the black fenced lot at the end of Vinegar Lane in the back right corner; you'll see our logo above one of the parks. Please let us know your rego upon entering the salon and a $3 p/hr parking fee will be added to your bill. Failure to alert us may result in a tow, so please let the front desk or your stylist know!

Alternatively there are a few street parking spots outside serviced by a parking meter a few doors up, or you can use the ParkMate app to park in Countdown or across the street from the salon in the gravel lot.
