Kenji
Director
To be a master, Kenji believes you need to treat every day like you are a student. He is known for his sunny nature and youthful spirit, coupled with an innate drive to constantly be learning and honing his craft. He loves sharing the knowledge he gains, whether it’s through answering client questions, or teaching hairdressers.
The power of hairdressing to uplift people gives Kenji immense joy. For just over 10 years he has visited Ronald McDonald House at Auckland Hospital offering free cuts and making new friends. The feeling of being able to contribute something to someone going through the worst time of their life, he says, means everything to him.
After two decades of experience working as a senior stylist in highly commercial as well as boutique salon environments, having his own space is a dream come true.
Molly
Senior Stylist/Salon Manager
Inspired by her late grandmother, Molly is powered by radical self expression. Previously working in business management in the fashion industry, she retrained into hairdressing to pursue a life of creative freedom; getting to spend every day ‘helping someone's outsides match their insides’.
Molly believes that hairdressing should be inclusive, accessible and sustainable, aiming to provide a comfortable and educational experience for all who sit in her chair. While her background in art has led her to specialising in fashion colour, Molly’s main focus is to have you leaving the salon feeling like your most powerful and true self.
When Molly isn’t in the salon she can be found cooking vegan food with her fiance or adventuring with her dog, Koda.
Tomoko
Senior Head Spa Therapist
Tomoko is a hairstylist and spa therapist with more than two decades of experience working in popular and award-winning hair and beauty salons in New Zealand and all over the world.
She understands that scalp health is the secret to youthful, brilliant hair and is trained in the special art of Japanese scalp massage. Tomoko offers deeply relaxing and efficacious treatments to promote both physical and mental wellbeing. She loves that Aube is a space for people to shut their eyes, sink into the comfort of Yume and enjoy a moment of rest and respite from their busy lives. She also loves empowering her clients with an understanding of scalp health so they can integrate little rituals at home to achieve the best hair possible.
Tomoko is kind and nurturing, and her clients are immediately at ease in her capable hands.
Ana
Head Spa Technician
Of Te Arawa and Ngati Porou decent, Ana has come to Auckland from Te Rotorua-nui-a-Kahumatamomoe/Rotorua. She's likely to be one of the first smiling faces to welcome you as you enter the salon.
Ana's warmth and attention to detail are hallmarks of the Aube experience. She’s a client favourite for her ability to bring calm to life’s chaos through deeply nourishing Japanese head spa treatments. She’s also a natural at creating fresh and tailored looks that’ll have you feeling your very best.
A mantra Ana lives by is that caring for the body and mind are at the heart of looking and feeling your best. She loves nothing more than helping clients feel centred, confident and ready to take on the world.
Yuki
Head Spa Therapist
Yuki, with over 28 years of experience as a hairstylist, began her career in Tokyo, where she served as a
technical trainer for Wella and trained at Vidal Sassoon in London. In 2006, she brought her expertise to New
Zealand, initially working at a prestigious salon in Toni&Guy before starting her own business. After a
vibrant career in hair styling, Yuki has shifted her passion purely to Japanese Head Spa; providing a strong,
peaceful presence while you enjoy your specialzed spa experience.
Yuki excels in client relations, bringing a personable touch to every interaction. Additionally, she is
qualified in kimono fitting. Outside of the salon, Yuki is a devoted mother of two who enjoys staying active,
walking her dog, practicing Japanese pottery, and contributing to her local community through the Japanese

Director's Manifesto
Welcome to Aube Hair, a wellness space and salon dedicated to hair care, confidence, and creativity.
Since opening in April 2024, we have been proud to grow a vibrant community of clients who come to us for
exceptional hair and the distinctive touch of Japanese craftsmanship.
We are the first in Aotearoa to introduce the Japanese shampoo basin YUME by Takara Belmont, offering the
luxurious head spa experience beloved in Japan, now available in our Auckland salon. It is deeply relaxing,
restorative, and unlike anything else.
At Aube, we approach hair from the foundation up, caring for the scalp as the source of healthy, beautiful
hair. We work exclusively with premium Japanese products, including the renowned Oggi Otto range and advanced
treatments such as Under7 and X Treatment, each chosen for its proven quality, formulation integrity, and
results.
Education is central to our philosophy, for both our clients and our team. We are passionate about sharing the
knowledge and techniques that help you achieve, maintain, and enjoy truly healthy hair.
Whether you are ready for a full transformation or simply seeking a moment of calm, we look forward to
welcoming you. Come as you are, and leave refreshed.
