The holiday season is coming up, and we want to share a special story that has been close to our hearts for years. Here's Kenji's story...
In November 2012, I began visiting Ronald McDonald House (RMHC) in Auckland. Every four weeks, I offer free haircuts to families staying there. For many, RMHC is a home away from home, providing a warm and comforting place for families whose children are receiving treatment in Auckland hospitals, often far from their own homes.
While COVID temporarily paused my visits, I am thrilled to be celebrating 12 years of this cherished tradition this month!
What I Learned from RMHC
To Parents
Parenting is hard, the toughest job out there. The endless cycle of early mornings, packed lunches, drop-offs, pick-ups, cooking, washing, and bedtime can be overwhelming. Those everyday struggles are signs of a healthy, thriving child. Some families dream of those moments as their children are too unwell to leave their beds, go to school, or play with friends. Cherish your "normal". It’s a gift.
To Hairdressers
Hairdressers have the power to transform lives. A simple haircut can uplift someone’s confidence and brighten their day. Hairdressing is more than a job, it is an opportunity to connect with people, make them feel great, and be appreciated for what we do. Keep loving what you do.

A huge thank you to Ronald McDonald House for welcoming me over the years. Spending time with you has been an honour and you’ve given me valuable lessons in gratitude and perspective. Here’s to many more years ahead.
To Our Aube Community
As we celebrate the holiday season, we want to thank each of you for being part of the Aube Hair community. Your support means everything to us. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season.
